A historical site in green

Fort Bourlémont is situated in the west of the Vosges, 3 km from Neufchateau, in the township of Mont-les-Neufchâteau.

At the heart of the forest, bordering the GR 714 and 400m above sea level, the site is the only  "Séré de Rivières" structure  of the sector.

The fort forms part of a varied local heritage and it is close to Neufchateau, a historical town full of medieval and Renaissance buildings and ruins. Nearby sites include Grand, Domrémy-la-Pucelle, Vittel and Contrexéville. Fort Bourlémont is a must-see in the Vosges region.

Numerous volunteers have transformed a barren terrain into a tourist site. Thanks to them, the wellfare to work programme employs 17 people today and represents several employment sectors working for the preservation of this heritage.

The arboretum leads to the entrance protecting the drawbridge.

Exhibitions, weddings, meetings, guided or independant tours full of enigma, varied shows : the fort offers numerous possibilities.
